BU Style x Hannayoo Works: A Spark of Trust, A Touch of Joy in Every Collaboration
There’s a particular kind of magic that happens when trust leads the way.
It’s in the first moment a client says, “I’m ready”—not just to find a new piece for their wardrobe, but to honor how they want to feel. It’s in the decision to invest in something personal, intentional, and quietly powerful. And it’s exactly what brought BU Style and Hannayoo Works together.

There’s a kind of connection that doesn’t need explanation—just a feeling. A quiet, immediate knowing. That’s what happened when Natalie and Hanna were reunited by a mutual industry colleague after first rubbing shoulders years earlier during fashion week. What was meant to be a quick coffee catch-up turned into a three-hour deep dive into creativity, identity, and forging meaningful work. That spark stuck. They stayed in touch, cheering each other on as they each stepped more fully into their creative paths.
Today, Hanna is the artist behind Hannayoo Works, a jewelry, accessories, and clothing line based in Brooklyn that’s equal parts thoughtful, sculptural, and soulful. Her pieces don’t just adorn—they communicate. And in getting to know her work more deeply, Natalie saw why it resonates so strongly with the BU Style community: because Hanna designs the way BU styles—from a place of trust, with the client at the center.
We’re proud to highlight a collaboration that celebrates trust, not just in the stylist or designer, but in yourself. Because when you trust your own sense of style, your values, your desire for joy, ease, and originality, that’s when the real transformation begins.
A Shared Client Philosophy between Hannayoo Works and BU Style
BU Style and Hannayoo Works are grounded in the same purpose: helping others express themselves through what they wear.
Before launching her own line in 2021, Brooklyn-based artist Hanna Yoo spent years working in luxury fashion and accessories, honing her skills with some of the most recognizable names in the industry. But eventually, she felt the pull to create something more meaningful—something more her. She named her brand Hannayoo Works after “searching for the most meaningful way to work, create my story, and approach life with genuine thoughts.”
That spirit runs through everything she makes.
Hanna designs sculptural, three-dimensional shapes for the body—pieces that are made entirely by hand. Her work includes rings, earrings, charms, ear cuffs and clothing. Drawing inspiration from her career in fashion, she designed a sweater line, H+SWEATER, where each piece is crafted from 100% cashmere sourced directly from Inner Mongolia, blending tactile luxury with thoughtful form. Her work isn’t trend-driven or seasonal. Instead, each piece is crafted to transcend moments, occasions, and even the individuals who wear them. They shift and adapt with you—timeless in feel, yet deeply personal in meaning.
Her process, much like ours at BU Style, is collaborative and client-centered. It begins with curiosity, builds on trust, and ends with something lasting: a piece that reflects who you are—and maybe even reminds you who you’ve always been.
Personal Style Starts with Self-Trust

In every client relationship, trust is the foundation. But here’s the twist: that trust has to start within. You can’t fully believe in what someone is creating for you—whether it’s a wardrobe or a custom piece of jewelry—until you trust your own wants and needs first.
BU Style clients know this journey. Maybe you’ve felt it during a wardrobe edit, or a shop session—those moments where clarity replaces uncertainty, where you stop trying to dress for expectations and start dressing for you.
Hanna’s work adds another dimension to that process. Her pieces are like little bursts of confidence and character—wearable art that doesn’t weigh you down (literally or metaphorically). They’re featherlight and pragmatic, perfect for summer days, but packed with meaning. They offer the freedom to feel dressed and styled without adding another layer of clothing.
“I want people to connect to what I make like little kids do,” Hanna says. “Kids don’t filter their reactions. If they love something, they love it with their whole selves. I think that’s how style should feel.”
And it does feel that way—joyful, intuitive, honest, and full of possibility. Whether you’re slipping on her hand-formed rings or wrapping yourself in a soft cashmere collar, it’s an experience that reconnects you with your own instincts.
