Available for clients in New York City and beyond, our in-person and virtual services and packages include makeup consulting and personal shopping.
Our work is collaborative and thoughtful. Please book only when you are ready. Once you sign up, all of our packages last up to 90 days or until the package services are used. This allows us to support you most effectively each season.

Whether you are new to makeup or want to continue to build on your toolkit and techniques, our offerings are for individuals who want to create beauty routines that support their multifaceted, day-to-day lives.
Our BU Beauty makeup artist, Rebecca, will meet you where you are in your makeup journey to empower and educate you each step of the way. She will use her expertise to guide you in identifying the right brands, products, and techniques that complement you, your goals, and your unique characteristics. BU Beauty is not affiliated with any brands, so the recommendations will be made 100% based on you.

Q the Makeup Artist
Want to grab a 1:1 to ask your makeup questions? We offer 60-minute virtual sessions with our makeup artist, Rebecca! Whether it’s learning a new technique, providing solutions for a makeup challenge you are having, giving you application tips for a big event, or finding a specific product or tool you need, each session gives her the opportunity to help you methodically and patiently master each iteration of your unique makeup discovery and allows you to build on your skills at a pace that works for you.

Our Q the Makeup Artist service is ideal for all clients new to BU Beauty. We invite you to please visit each makeup services page and read through the detailed descriptions for each. If after reading through the services you still need help deciding which service is best for you, you can schedule a consult call with our makeup artist. To schedule a consult call, contact us.

Set up your computer near a window. Be sure you are facing the light. You do not want to be backlit as that makes it difficult to see your face. Have your makeup, tools, and makeup remover readily available. If your appointment is for a makeup tutorial, be ready with a clean moisturized face.

For a Seasonal Shop appointment (existing clients only), in-person shopping will take place at 1 store in SoHo, NYC including Bloomingdale’s, MAC Cosmetics, or Sephora. Based on your needs, your makeup artist will decide which stores are best for your session. At this time we are not able to accommodate special requests for alternate store options.

Per the PETA website, "Cruelty-free means that the product was developed without any tests on animals, while vegan means that the product does not include any animal derived ingredients." It's possible for a makeup product to be cruelty-free, but not vegan. To find out if a product is vegan, check the ingredients label. To find out if a product is cruelty-free, look for “no animal testing” or a certified cruelty-free stamp on the label.

Our makeup artist will make sure that at least 50% of the products recommended to you are cruelty-free. Upon special request, our makeup artist is available to make product recommendations from only cruelty-free brands.
