Community Spotlight: Paula Randazzo

After working together for over a decade, Paula has become my hair stylist turned dear friend. She has supported all of my hair transformations to align with my life transitions and goals. One of the beauties of a Paula cut is that it grows out seamlessly, and my daily hair upkeep is VERY low maintenance—which is key for those of us Relaxed hair style personalities. She gets my habits and works with them!

I’m a New Yorker and an artist of mediums. I truly believe we should aspire, inspire, and pass it on.

What is your favorite thing about working with your clients?
My favorite thing about working with my clients, is working with my clients. It’s a meeting of the minds. I can take their vision, with my expertise, and together, we can paint the most beautiful portrait.

What motivated you to become a hairstylist?
I love being creative, and I love to nurture. For me, becoming a hairstylist was a way to accomplish both.

What is your best no-fuss hair hack (ie, looking good in the room or Zoom with little effort)?
Number-one hair hack is that messy bun neatened with a wrap. I love a good hair or neck wrap.

How would you describe your personal style?
I love my personal style! I am definitely vintage, but I like to put a fresh modern spin on it. I guess I’m redressing the then to the now while still honoring it.
